Ways to Get Your Fix Without Adderall

By Posted on No tags 0

If you or someone you know is dealing with an ADHD addiction to Adderall, there are many ways that you can reduce the amount of abuse they’re doing while improving their mental health. We’ve compiled a list of things that will help them get the chance to shake off their addiction without having to rely on drugs for motivation.

Take note: these methods don’t necessarily cure ADHD, but they do offer some great adderall alternatives for people looking to break their dependence on this drug.

The following strategies should be used in conjunction with each other and/or treatment from a doctor or therapist as needed.

Reduce Stress

This is one of the most common ways to reduce your ADHD symptoms. When you reduce stress throughout your life, you’re also reducing your body’s production of adrenaline, which relieves a lot of that hyperactive energy that people with ADHD experience all the time. This can be accomplished through exercise, meditation and/or any hobby that deals with relaxation. Just an hour out of the week dealing with these issues will help drastically reduce the amount of stress in your life.

 Eat Right

Your diet can make a huge impact on how your body feels and how it works at any given time. While some people have different dietary restrictions varying from person to person, there are several key things that should be included in your diet if you want to reduce your use of Adderall. For example, vegetables and fruit both contain a lot of vitamins that your body needs to stay healthy and reduce any pain or discomfort you may be experiencing. A well-balanced diet with a focus on fresh foods will go a long way towards curbing your addiction and keeping you healthy at the same time.

Get Plenty of Sleep

There’s a very direct link between sleep deprivation and ADHD. If you’re unable to get a full night’s sleep, you’re going to be very tired for the rest of the day. This can make it difficult for you to cope with your responsibilities and keep up at work or school. A good rule of thumb is that if you have trouble falling asleep, take a nap during the day so that your sleep schedule goes back into normalcy. You may also want to try meditation or some other stress-reduction technique before bed.
